Okay, folks. Rune Quest is over and now it's time to focus on our park a little more. The summer is nearly over despite it hardly feeling like it even started. Although out attentence is considered very good for an Amtgard park, it is actually rather low for Crimson Circle.

So, here's the plan. Saturday, August 23rd Crimson Circle will be hosting a "Cookout" at Pamperin Park at 1pm. Tell ALL of your friends to come and enjoy a day in the park.

Remember, this is merely a cookout. Do not even mention Amtgard. If foam swinging happens to occur, though, maybe we could encourage them to give it a try. All of us know several people that would love Amtgard but for some reason won't try it. Well, have them come out to this cookout. Then, when the foam starts-a-swingin' maybe they'll give it a go.

As far as the events for the day, consider the day "Amtgard-Lite." Ditching, Ring the Bell, Kill Your Killer, maybe Capture the Flag. No real class battles (with the possible exception of 1 with no death count). The day is designed to have fun and get some people to try our favorite pasttime that might not otherwise try it.

So, the catch. This is a competition. Scoring will work as follows: You will score 1 point for every person you get to come that does not have any amtgard credits in the last 4 months. More importantly, though, you will receive 3 points if any of those people return in one of the next 2 weeks!

Yes, there will be a prize!!!
