As some of you knew, Ann Hager (Helga) from Three Rivers found out last August that she had cancer, and has been struggling with it ever since. Her husband, Mike (Hagar), informed me this morning that she passed away yesterday.

Helga was very active in Amtgard and with her work with special needs children. She and Hagar were very instrumental in keeping Amtgard alive and thriving in the La Crosse area, and many of us had the opportunity to visit with her during our several raids and other journeys with them over the last several years prior to Crimson Circle. She will be missed by many.

Instead of focusing on her death, it was Ann's wish that the people around her celebrate her life. A celebration will be held on Sunday, August 24th, at 1:00 at Grandad Park in La Crosse, WI. I will post more information as it comes to me.
