(GAC) Scheduling

It made me smile when I saw a spot available for the Great Adventures’ Challenge on your Forum.

At the moment I am in the process of ‘picking a date’ for the GAC and I am happy to try to work it around as many peoples schedules as possible. It is my hope that the GAC will ‘kick off’ the summer for people so I favor it occurring in or around June. I’d love any and all input. Please feel free to post recommendations on this Forum.

I’ll take the information I get here and bring it before a Frostlands Allthing sometime in the near future.

Thanks For Showing Interest!!!

Do you still need any help

Do you still need any help for GAC? I don't know what's left to be done, but I can perhaps run a quest, play a character, run a game, or just about anything else that needs to be done. Are there any areas you'd like help with?

Hey Orkin, thanks for the

Hey Orkin, thanks for the offer. I actually have a role I would be interested in talking to you about in the near future.

I want to give as many people a chance to actually go through the Challenge as I can, but if there are people who know they would enjoy playing an npc more then playing a Player Character sound off and I'll see what we can do. I know my wife will need a combat oriented person or two to help her out.

Bob

Hey Bob- I'd be happy to

Hey Bob-

I'd be happy to work gate if you're still looking for people...

It's only fair...

We couldn't leave out the only other event in Wisconsin! If you do it in June, I'm sure we can get a lot of CC people down that way, since it won't be while we're gearing up for RQ3.

Has there been a date set

Has there been a date set for this yet?

I do want to warn ya'll that

I do want to warn ya'll that Gathering of Shadows, Northaven
s Event is the weekend previous to Rune Quest. Now it will not interfear with me, I am planning on attending both, but it might hurt your attendence a bit.

BTW I would like to have some idea what role you guys have in mind for me.

That way if I need garb I can start on it.

It's always the weekend

It's always the weekend after GoS. That's the optimal weekend for us when you factor in our schedule, the campground, and GenCon.

When is GenCon this year?

When is GenCon this year? And is it still in Indiana?

The main con is always in Indianapolis... though they've had other cons in other cities like GenCon San Diego (iirc).

This year, it's Aug 14-17. Unless Hasbro finishes the lawsuit against GenCon, LLC, it's going to be a dull con this year- Wizards won't be able to have so much as a vendor booth, much less run any RPGA or DCI events should the lawsuit still be pending.

We've talked at length about this over @ Gnome Games, since the Gnomes do a bus tour package down there and back annually. There's still plenty to do, and iirc, WizKids will be allowed in irrespective of the lawsuit as they are an independent company not directly associated with Wizards or Hasbro. Also, there are a number of seminars every year, so they may be much more packed this year.

Whats the story with Hasbro?

Whats the story with Hasbro? I havent heard.
