Park Garb

Hello all! Your friendly neighborhood Garbing Grand Inquisitor here!

Spring is nearly upon us! You know what that means! Time to display that garb we've been working on all winter!

But what's this??? Not all newbies have fabulous garb???? How sad! That's where we come in! I will be hosting a garbing party at my apartment, tiny though it is, on Friday, March 28th from 7pm until whenever our fingers start to bleed. The goal is to make some basic tunics, poet shirts, etc ... for newbies to borrow, or for other members to borrow when they forget their garb (but that NEVER happens), for a nominal fee to cover cleaning and upkeep. I'll provide the fabric if you'll provide the sewing machines! I have one machine here and may be able to get another, but the more we bring the better! :D If you have fabric to donate, that's great too! Can't sew? We'll put you to work pinning and cutting! WOOHOO! A job for everyone!

This event will also be potluck. I don't expect anything fancy, chips and soda are fine, but please no alcohol! Scissors and drunkenness do not generally get along well. ^_^;;

I'm hoping to also do some tentative RQ3 discussion as well since I'll have most of the garbers there. GO MULTITASKING! XD

Hope to see everyone there!

Another garbing (sorta)

Another garbing (sorta) task. The great northern battle needs roughly 100 headbands per side of opposite colors, it also needs raider sashes. The reason I say it is sorta garb, is because it requires cutting but no sewing. If we got a couple people working on this, we could have it done in a day. I don't know if we want it to be done on the 28th (something for the less sewing inclined to do) or if we want to make it a separate event.

Making headbands is a fine

Making headbands is a fine idea. One hundred headbands would more than cover our needs for two reasons. First, many people already have a headband or two. Second, only one side was going to wear headbands. The other team is going to go sans headbands.

Oh. Im sorry I thought both

Oh. Im sorry I thought both sides were going to wear headbands, just different colors. Cool then.

Secondly, we are going to need alot of raider sashes. Anyone know a good place to buy the checkered pattern fabric?

Oh and by the way I can be

Oh and by the way I can be there. Not ure if I have any fabric big enough to make anything with, but I'll search around.

And while I'm thinking of it, does anyone have any raider material?

I will hopefully be on my

I will hopefully be on my way to Rising Winds coronation, which would make it difficult to attend (I just can't master that being in two places at once thing...) I can always make tunics in my spare time if people toss fabric my way. That goes for current members as well as new ones, of course. Just let me know :)

I don't know if I can make
