How do you feel about Crimson Circle joining a kingdom?![]() There hasn't been much talk about joining a kingdom lately. The option is still out there, and I was wondering which way the wind blows. Anyone can feel free to vote or comment on this. When this issue was first brought up and folks from Rising Winds visited us, some of them were complete assholes which convinced many players to never want to associate with their kingdom. Well, it has been quite a while since then. |

If CC is no longer
If CC is no longer petitioning Rising Winds, it might be nice to let someone know....
I haven't heard anything
I haven't heard anything either for or against petitioning RW. Their monarch hasn't visited our park, have they?
We submitted the petition,
We submitted the petition, but the monarch hasn't come to our park. I'm sure the CoM will take into consideration the 8 months he'll have had and the high gas prices that may have prevented him from coming. I can't see anyone reasonable holding a nonvisiting monarch against us. After all, they approved the Frost Lands with only one monarch visit; maybe they will count the 2006 visit we received as being sufficient.
Clyde is coming up in June,
Clyde is coming up in June, on the 14th, I believe.
When he knows for sure if

From what I have heard of
From what I have heard of Clyde, he can't be as bad as the other jerks who came when Crimson Circle first started. I remember that prior to the first visit, I was talking up joining Rising Winds. I went to great lengths describing the benefits to be had when being a part of a kingdom. After the visit, I was told: "If being a part of greater Amtgard means getting pissed on by their monarch, it just isn't worth it."
I made the poll to see how people felt now. We have many different people in Crimson Circle and attitudes may have changed.
As to petitioning Rising Winds, that's like sending an application in for a job. You don't HAVE to take the job. You can send in the application and still look at your other options. The petition tells them that we are interested in being a part of Rising Winds. Just interested.
If Clyde is coming next month, we should have a serious discussion on this. We should let the pros and cons be pondered by the Crimson Circle populous. We should have all of our options laid out on the table. And trust me, there are other options.
If we decide to take another route, we shouldn't have someone travel all the way up here for nothing.
So seeing as no one can tell
So seeing as no one can tell me who the heck came up there and were "jerks" from the RW when you started i am going to go ahead and assume you were wrong and now know it or something cuz i honestly can't even remember anyone from RW coming up there other then Anillia and her husband...

I don't know their names. It could very well have been Anilla and her husband. The specific people that visited isn't what is important (it was two years ago). What is important is the direction Crimson Circle goes. I was just curious about how people felt. There is nothing scientific about the poll; it's just interesting to see the diversity of opinions for what Crimson Circle should do.
So in other words you might
So in other words you might not even know if they were even indeed from RW...
I just figure if you are going to point out "mean people" it is best to know who you are talking about. Anillia is anything but mean, her husband is an old fart flame knight (she is a flame knight as well). If they were "mean people" then oh my god...

It looks to be fixed
It looks to be fixed now...however i am still curious who visited you guys when you started? Can anyone let me know who that was from the RW that came up there? All i remember was Annillia and Crosser (her husband) and i can't imagine them being "jerks".

I am wondering what happened
I am wondering what happened to that option myself. I tried refreshing the page several times (in case it was just a glich), but that option never showed.
Anyway, the poll only has a dozen votes, so it isn't indicative of the opinion of the Crimson Circle at large.
I'm seeing that option in

I'm sure we have plenty of
I'm sure we have plenty of time to warn Clyde. He hasn't even contacted us to discuss a visit yet.
I agree with you that we should intelligently weigh the pros and cons of kingdom sponsorship. We could discuss this at the upcoming feast. Tomorrow would be an appropriate time to start discussing it, too, if anyone is interested.
I'd prefer to have a discussion in-person on this subject,
so confusion can be averted.
Weird... you just put "nice"
Weird... you just put "nice" and "Rising Winds" in the same sentence. I guess it CAN be done!
